Based in Toronto, Ontario, Bruce Klorfine has enjoyed a fulfilling career as a pianist, both at home and abroad. He began learning to play the piano during childhood, and his love of music eventually became a lifelong pursuit. As a jazz performance major at York University he was able to benefit from a faculty that included several of Canada's top musicians and educators — including Lorne Lofsky, Don Thompson, and the late, legendary Oscar Peterson.
Since then Bruce has gained over 18 years of experience playing professionally — immersing himself in styles ranging from jazz to pop, Broadway, Latin and more; playing in a wide variety of group settings, large and small, and as a solo pianist. He has been a contributing artist on several recordings and has freelanced at many of Toronto's finer venues — including Top of the Senator, Centro and Monte Cristo Restaurants. He frequently lends his talents to weddings, corporate events, and other festive occasions. He has also enjoyed playing on some of the world's popular cruise lines — including Princess, Carnival, and Norwegian — allowing him the opportunity to work with entertainers such as Kathie Lee Gifford, John Davidson, Norm Crosby, and Fred Travalena — while traveling the globe by sea.
